 <h4>The position</h4>
 By joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:
 

<ul><li>Monitor relevant developments in energy policy and regulation that impact Equinor’s business, inform business lines about changes and identify potential business opportunities</li><li>Formulate company positions on questions of German energy and climate policy and energy market regulation</li><li>Represent Equinor’s positions externally, towards German stakeholders and at relevant industry associations</li><li>Undertake advocacy towards stakeholders and create/use advocacy alliances</li><li>Pro-actively engage in public affairs work streams in common industry projects</li><li>Advise management on policy and regulatory changes that have or could have commercial and/or operational impact</li><li>Formulate responses to public consultations by German public authorities</li><li>Being part of the Equinor’s advertisement campaign team in Germany</li></ul>
 The Berlin office is representing Equinor in Germany and engaging in advocacy work with political and other stakeholders in Germany for natural gas and power markets, as well as offshore wind and hydrogen project activities in Germany. The unit works with a range of external stakeholders such as German political institutions, regulatory bodies, trade associations, other energy companies, energy consultants and think tanks. It also engages closely with various internal stakeholders.

<ul><li>Knowledge of German energy and climate policy legislation and regulations is a requirement</li><li>Deep understanding of the German political system and partly of the EU political system</li><li>Experience in advocacy and stakeholder engagement in Berlin</li><li>Network with energy and climate policy stakeholders in Berlin</li><li>Knowledge of the regulatory framework for natural gas, offshore wind and hydrogen in Germany</li><li>Excellent level of German and English</li><li>Master’s degree in politics, law, economics or similar</li><li>Strong analytical skills, especially regarding climate and energy policy processes</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain stakeholder contacts, work in networks</li><li>Excellent external and internal communication skills and ability to express complex ideas in simple words</li><li>Strong drafting skills, at ease with official correspondence in German and English</li><li>Ability to effectively manage consultants’ work for Equinor in Germany</li><li>Self-starter - small office, manage every-day office tasks and pro-active towards other Equinor internal units</li></ul>
 The person filling this role will also be exposed to the full global gas market, since he or she will also be working closely together with market analyst colleagues.
