For our Group Communication & Investor Relations we are seeking to recruit a Manager Government Affairs (f/m/d).
You will directly report to the Head of Government Affairs. The position is located in Brussels, Belgium.
Your next challenge:
- Develop and implement public affairs campaigns and direct advocacy at EU and global level in close alignment with the Head of Government Affairs
- Expand and maintain HeidelbergCement’s political network
- Represent the company in political bodies, main associations and political initiatives as well as contribute to relevant working groups
- Conduct political monitoring and analysis in the area of the EU Green Deal, industrial, digital and sustainable finance policy and regular inform and advice senior management
- Develop and coordinate internal and external group positioning on relevant legislative dossiers
- Support the group communication activities
Your profil:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in government relations or public affairs, preferably in an industry association or international firm
- Previous work experience in an EU institution or trade association also considered as a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of the EU political agenda and institutional decision-making processes essential; deeper knowledge of energy, climate, environment and industrial policy is an advantage
- University Degree in the fields of social science, political science, law or other subject with relevance.
- Fluent in English and at least one other European language; German helpful but not necessary
- Outstanding communication as well as strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory topics into business-relevant action plans
- Willingness to travel
